BIGGLES
– SECRET AGENT
by Captain W.
E. Johns
CONCLUSION (Pages 254 – 255) (This
chapter was not numbered XVI)
“That is really the end of the story of
how Professor Beklinder was snatched from a position
which might have had far-reaching effects at a critical time in British history”. Arriving at Croydon, they are met by Raymond
and “two bowler-hatted gentlemen”. “Good
work, Bigglesworth” says Raymond. “How
do you do it?” They all went in two cars
to a famous London hotel where Colonel Raymond had arranged for the Professor
to stay. Raymond offers Biggles the
services of James, his chauffeur, to drive Biggles, Algy and Ginger home. They get in the car and Biggles has the last
word. “Home, James – and don’t spare the
horses,” he said, yawning.
